Brett & James

Hello Pumpkins was founded by two full-time firefighters serving Johnson County, Kansas. Around the firehouse, we’ve become known for one thing: creating standout seasonal displays & Christmas lights. Firefighter-owned, family-operated, and committed to dependable service and attention to detail.

Brett oversees logistics and operations, using heavy specialized equipment to safely transport and place thousands of pounds of pumpkins, hay, and seasonal décor throughout the community. James manages the business side of the company, ensuring every customer receives a seamless experience from booking to installation. We both decorate porches and houses. We both have kids and are doing these side hustles to pay for K-State and Pitt State Universities for our daughters.

We are also the owners of Plaza Lights (www.plazalights.net), a Christmas lighting company trusted by more than 280 seasonal customers. Through Plaza Lights, we’ve spent years helping homeowners transform their properties for the holidays, and that experience inspired us to create Hello Pumpkins.

We believe your home should look its best in every season, you work hard for it.

P.S. Please changing your smoke detector batteries or James & Brett will do it for you.

Pumpkin Supplier

The majority of our pumpkins and gourds come from a family farm in Missouri owned by a retired firefighter who traded the firehouse for the farm. He and his wife personally grow, tend, and harvest each pumpkin from their fields with care. We’re very proud to support a local family whose hard work and dedication can be seen in every harvest.
